WNEP-TV joined about 150 middle school students who visited Penn College for STEMFest, a celebration of engineering and technical fields. The students participated in a series of hands-on workshops that introduced them to the promise of careers related to science, technology, engineering and math.
Reporter Mackenzie Aucker attended some of the sessions, where she spoke to students and Kathy D. Chesmel, assistant dean of materials science and engineering technology. Aucker’s story for the ABC affiliate can be viewed here.
