Greg Gable, executive chef at The Restaurant at Doneckers, Ephrata, will prepare the Fall 2003 Distinguished Visiting Chef Series Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Gable also worked for 14 years at the renowned Le Bec-Fin in Philadelphia before joining The Restaurant at Doneckers, where his wife, Heidi, serves as sommelier.

The impact of the information-technology revolution taking place in India will be the topic of a program to be offered Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Pennsylvania College of Technology Library. With a population of more than 1 billion people, India is bustling with commercial activity, and information technology is at the forefront of the commercial pulse.

Prospective students, their families and friends can learn more about Pennsylvania College of Technology, a special-mission affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University, during Fall Visitation Day activities being offered Sunday, Oct. 26. The event, which will be held from 10 a.m.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's New Choices/New Options program will offer a free evening workshop Nov. 10-25 to help single parents, homemakers and teen parents transition into the workforce. The workshop sessions, which will be offered on the College's main campus in Williamsport, also help people pursue high-wage/high-tech careers that are nontraditional for their gender.

"You're the Chef," Pennsylvania College of Technology's award-winning and Emmy-nominated cooking series on public television, has garnered another honor, this one for its Web site. The site which was designed by Penn College's Information Technology Services' Web Development Team earned a "Standard of Excellence" award in the Web Marketing Association's 2003 WebAward competition.

Enrollment at Pennsylvania College of Technology, a special-mission affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University, has established another record this fall.

"Boxes," an exhibit of works by Kathleen Kase Burk of Ebensburg, will be displayed Oct. 7-31 at The Gallery at Penn College on the campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology. The opening for the show will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7. Burk will offer an artist's talk at 5:15 p.m. Subsequent viewing hours will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, or by appointment.
