Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology will present the first series in its Operational Leader Program beginning Oct. 18. Operational leaders are responsible for the day-to-day operation of a function within an organization, as well as helping to develop, communicate and implement strategic plans within their specific function.

For companies looking to sharpen their employees’ skills in theoretical project management or basic finance, Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering two series of noncredit courses. Classes will be held at the Center for Business & Workforce Development on the college’s main campus in Williamsport.

The courses are presented by Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College and are held at the Center for Business & Workforce Development on the college’s main campus in Williamsport.

Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology will present the first series in its Team Leader/Supervisor program beginning Sept. 19. Leaders must master the competencies required to drive an organization to achieve competitive advantage. The noncredit program assists team leaders/supervisors to effectively employ each skill in a business environment.

A donation from PPL Corp. will go toward purchase of equipment for Pennsylvania College of Technology’s electrical technology majors. Teri MacBride, PPL’s regional community relations director, recently delivered a $3,000 check to the college’s Institutional Advancement Office to buy 20 new oscilloscopes for the School of Construction and Design Technologies.

Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering three basic computer classes in September and October. Create Greeting Cards Using Publisher will be held on Sept. 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. The course introduces Microsoft Publisher to those who are new to the computer. Topics include using Publisher to create greeting cards, invitations and calendars.

McClarin Plastics Inc., a company that has partnered with Pennsylvania College of Technology through its plastics and polymer technology majors and the college’s Plastics Innovation & Resource Center, was honored with a Mentorship Award at Saturday’s Summer Commencement ceremony.

Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology, an Autodesk Authorized Training Center and Authorized Certification Center, is participating in this year’s Certification Days. Two Certification Days remain: Aug. 10 and Oct. 12.

Is a rewarding career in nursing in your future? The practical nursing program at Pennsylvania College of Technology’s North Campus is scheduling pre-admission testing for the class that begins in January. Pre-admission testing must be completed before the application process begins. All applications for the January class must be submitted by Oct. 1.
