Openings remain for a 15-day Ready-to-Work Field Service Worker and Roustabout Training program offered through Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The short-term, full-time training – which runs from May 23 to June 14 – prepares participants to work in the following industry sectors: energy, construction, warehousing/logistics and manufacturing.

Four classes comprise the Front Line Supervisor Spring Series being offered by Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology beginning in May. Each of the following classes will meet in Penn College’s Klump Academic Center for two days, from 9 a.m.

Forke, of Gilbertsville, and Christopher J. Morrin, of Morrisville. Forke has a degree in electrical technology (’14) and Morrin graduated from heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology in 2015.

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Outreach Practical Nursing Program, located in the Wellsboro Area School District offices, will host an information session on Tuesday, May 10, for those interested in nursing as a career. A delegation from China visited Penn College on Wednesday, beginning with a presentation about the programs – credit and noncredit – that help feed the natural gas industry.

Is a rewarding career in health care in your future? Penn College at Wellsboro is offering a short course in phlebotomy beginning in April. The six-week, part-time program combines classroom theory and clinical experience to help prepare you to become a phlebotomy technician.

A $50,000 grant from Alcoa Foundation will benefit the mechatronics associate-degree major at Pennsylvania College of Technology, as well as corresponding noncredit training courses.

Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering Industrial Arc Flash Safety Training at a substantially discounted price through funds provided by a U.S. Department of Labor Make It In America Grant to the Central Pennsylvania Workforce Development Corp.
