Twenty-eight students from a variety of Career and Technical Education schools participated in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s inaugural diesel competition at the institution’s Schneebeli Earth Science Center. The well-planned Dec.

Dan and Monica Klingerman had the opportunity to see their gifts at work during a recent visit to Pennsylvania College of Technology’s main campus. A gift from the Klingerman family allowed Penn College to renovate and equip a new wrestling room, as well as the department's office that has been renamed and rededicated as The Klingerman Family Athletics Suite.

The David and LuAnn Shifter Endowed Scholarship for Power Generation has been established at Pennsylvania College of Technology, increasing a scholarship commitment originally made in 2018. To be eligible, a student must be enrolled in the electric power generation technology: diesel emphasis program at Penn College and be a new freshman student with demonstrated financial need.

The Penn College community once again dressed its front doors in their holiday best, a precursor to reopening them next month to let in the new year. Prizes were awarded for the top three doors designed/decorated by student organizations, as well as the top three entries by college offices/departments.

Keith and Jennifer Kuzio and their family are supporting Legacy Campaign efforts at Pennsylvania College of Technology by establishing the first endowed internship fund at the institution. Keith Kuzio was a civil engineer and executive with Larson Design Group for 35 years before retiring to open a leadership consulting practice in 2020.

The first cohort of culinary arts students completing a three-semester associate degree at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently put their skills to the test as each developed a full dinner menu – and served as chef de cuisine – in the college’s Le Jeune Chef Restaurant.

For Madison L. Kistler, being on the Penn College women’s soccer team is like having a second family. The camaraderie and chemistry she shares with her teammates is nothing short of special, and gave her the confidence to get involved on campus.

Two Pennsylvania College of Technology horticulture students have received a total of $8,000 in 2021-22 scholarships from the Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association Foundation. Faith E. Mitchell, of Sunbury, enrolled in landscape/horticulture technology: landscape emphasis, was awarded $5,000, and Sophia G.

Among offerings: mushroom and Fontina phyllo cups, a fruit platter, deviled eggs and a decoratively presented bacon ranch cheese ball. Delicious work stands ready and waiting. Jay Patel wants to inspire the Deaf community to pursue hands-on education at Pennsylvania College of Technology. He believes working individually with one’s hands is a better way for people who are deaf or hard of hearing to learn than sitting in a large classroom lecture.
