Full-time students at Pennsylvania College of Technology who are residents of 10 central and northcentral Pennsylvania counties are eligible to apply for awards from a new scholarship fund at the college. Blaise J. Alexander, well-known for his family's automobile dealerships around the region, recently established the Blaise Alexander Family Scholarship Fund at Penn College.

A Hughesville High School senior is the recipient of the 2010 Peggy Madigan Memorial Leadership Scholarship at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Kristina Kline, of Muncy, was presented with the scholarship award named in honor of the late wife of former state Sen. Roger A. Madigan at a Thursday ceremony in the college Field House.

The John Deere Foundation has provided Pennsylvania College of Technology with another grant of $12,000 to support scholarships for students in the college's welding and fabrication engineering technology bachelor-degree major and welding technology associate-degree major in 2010-11.
