Graduation ceremonies were held May 30 at the Warehouse Theater in Wellsboro for Pennsylvania College of Technology’s North Campus Medical Assistant program. Ten individuals completed the nine-month training program and are prepared for employment in medical offices, labs, clinics and other health-care facilities.

Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering two medical assistant programs beginning in mid-September – at the Main Campus in Williamsport and at the North Campus in Wellsboro. Employment of medical assistants is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations as the health-services industry expands.

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s North Campus, located at Wellsboro Area High School and the district administration building, will host information sessions in June for those interested in a nursing career. The sessions include information about the application process, tuition and financial aid for the North Campus practical nursing program.

Adults 55-plus who want to learn more about using computers for fun and convenience may enroll in a noncredit course offered in June at Pennsylvania College of Technology’s North Campus, located at Wellsboro Area High School. This easy beginners’ class, which is offered through Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College, introduces the computer for enjoyment purposes.

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s North Campus, operating from a new location in Wellsboro, will present the first series in its Quick Start Leadership Program beginning April 18. High-performing individuals are often tapped for leadership roles with little or no training in effective leadership.

Beginning with the new year, Pennsylvania College of Technology’s North Campus will offer its array of noncredit education programs and industry training from a new location. The 35-acre North Campus facility on Route 6 is being sold to Shell, and the college will begin renting instructional space from the Wellsboro Area School District.
