Excellent career opportunities for licensed practical nurses exist in area hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, personal-care facilities and human-service organizations. Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Outreach Practical Nursing Program, located in the Wellsboro Area School District, will host an information session for those interested in nursing as a career. The session will be at 6 p.m.

Several health care-related courses are scheduled for the coming months at Pennsylvania College of Technology and its Wellsboro campus. The classes are: Phlebotomy for the Healthcare Professional (HSC 519) Tuesdays and Thursdays (April 4 to May 11) 6 to 9 p.m.

Fourteen students recently graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Technology North Campus Outreach Practical Nursing Program. The ceremony was held Thursday, Dec. 15, at the Wellsboro Area School District Administration Building, followed by a reception for family and friends. The students selected Natalie O.

A noncredit Emergency Medical Technician course, beginning the week of Jan. 9, will be offered at three locations by Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
