A new noncredit paramedic certificate program that will allow participants to build a diverse skill set and sit for the National Registry of EMTs’ paramedic exam – all in just one year – has been announced by Workforce Development at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

WELLSBORO – Penn College at Wellsboro’s Practical Nursing Program will host three information sessions for those interested in nursing as a career: June 1, June 22 and July 6. All sessions will be held at Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Wellsboro campus, 22 Walnut St., at 6:30 p.m. and be connected to the Potter County Education Council through Zoom.

An Emergency Medical Technician course, beginning the week of Aug. 14 and running through early December, will be offered at three locations by Workforce Development at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Thirty-eight new members – and two transfers – were inducted into the Omega Theta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing during a ceremony on Oct. 7. The Pennsylvania College of Technology chapter comprises students, faculty and other local nurses.
