Scholarship fund boosted through auction of handcrafted woodwork. A rocking chair, created by a pair of Penn College retirees to be auctioned for a Fall 2015 scholarship fundraiser, has caught the attention of Fine Woodworking magazine. Frederick T. Gilmour, a professional artist, college retiree and alumnus, designed the chair after seeing original work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh in Scotland.
