The rapid evolution of malicious software whether used for concealing data, destroying data, unauthorized access or identity theft is affecting business operations around the globe.

William Ma, a professor of mathematics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, was recently nominated by a former student for inclusion in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers and Educators." His biography will appear in the 11th edition of the book, which honors about 5 percent of the nation's teachers.

On Sept. 29 and 30, Penn College's catering class will again provide food at the annual Gourmet Harvest Festival at Hunt Country Vineyards in Branchport, N.Y., on the western flank of Keuka Lake. The students will be accompanied by chefs Michael J. Ditchfield, the catering class instructor, and Monica J. Lanczak and Paul Mach, who will offer cooking demonstrations.
