The Alumni Citizenship/Humanitarian Award recognizes graduates of Penn College (and forerunners Williamsport Area Community College and the Williamsport Technical Institute) who provide distinguished community or volunteer service.

Danielle Trout, of Linglestown, a freshman guard-forward on the Penn College women's basketball team, has been named "Student-Athlete of the Week" for Dec. 9-15. During a game Dec. 10 against Penn State Wilkes-Barre, Trout showed off her defensive hustle and team play with 12 steals, 13 rebounds and seven assists, nearly achieving a triple-double.
