Students in a human services class at Pennsylvania College of Technology hosted an event on campus in November that raised $2,968 for an international cause. Fourteen students, all enrolled in the course Community and Organizational Change, hosted a Ten Thousand Villages Festival Sale, offering fair-trade handcrafted goods from around the world.

A student organization at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently donated the proceeds of fall fundraisers to a local charity. The Early Educators Club presented a check for $1,777 to the Mattie family and First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania to support Connor’s Connection.

Former White House Chef Samuel A. Morgante is joined by Jordan R. Sterrett, a hospitality management student from Bellefonte, in his cooking demo. Stars, stripes and the presidential seal all adorn the White House uniform. Students pay close attention to White House chef's experiences. Coins and cutlery are among souvenirs bearing the White House insignia.

Student's artwork on display through Dec. 16 Michele D. Lucas, who plans to graduate in May with degrees in graphic design and studio arts, is exhibiting her recent ceramics in the lobby of The Gallery at Penn College (Madigan Library, third floor) through Dec. 16. A public reception to meet the artist will be held from 4-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13.
