Pennsylvania College of Technology hosted a dedication ceremony on Sept. 29 to celebrate its renovated Dental Hygiene Clinic. The clinic is the hub for hands-on learning in the college’s dental hygiene majors and provides low-cost dental care for the community.

Paul “PJ” Lemoncelli, who earned a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts technology from Penn College in 2006, was named the Best In-Flight Executive Chef of 2016 during the International Flight Services Association’s annual chefs competition. Four competing chefs were tasked with preparing an appetizer and entrée in 30 minutes, using five required ingredients.

General Services' Gary T. Pandolfi, refrigeration, heating and plumbing mechanic, is assisted by Emily K. Helmus, an applied management major from Middletown, and Austin R. Ayars, of Easton, enrolled in business administration: banking and finance concentration. Both are members of the Student Government Association executive board.

Elizabeth A. Biddle – who holds a bachelor’s degree in plastics and polymer engineering technology and an associate degree in plastics and polymer technology from Penn College – proudly serves her alma mater as director of corporate relations.

A member of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Board of Directors and his wife, an alumna of the legal assistant/paralegal studies program, have established a fully endowed scholarship at the college. The Steve and Mary Ann Johnson Scholarship will benefit students who are enrolled full time; have served in the U.S.

Building relationships on common ground Nine student development assistants are in the midst of a Penn College phonathon – calling alumni to learn about life after graduation, filling them in on the latest campus happenings and asking for support. "My goal is to educate and engage current students in the importance and impact of philanthropy at Penn College," said Becky J.

Tom Giannattasio has been fascinated with design since childhood, an interest led him to a bachelor's degree in graphic design from Penn College. After graduating in 2006, he worked as a software designer for the likes of Apple and Twitter before creating his own web-design tool, Macaw. Today, Giannattasio is director of product, design tools at InVision App in Washington, D.C.

Two popular fall events at Pennsylvania College of Technology have been merged into a singular Homecoming & Family Weekend, to be held this year from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2. The college traditionally held Parent & Family Weekend in late September, followed by Homecoming a few weeks later. “We knew there was overlap,” explained Kimberly R. Cassel, the college’s director of alumni relations.
