The graphic design talents of four students and seven alumni from Pennsylvania College of Technology have been honored in two prestigious design competitions. Members of Pennsylvania College of Technology's ConCreate Design Club joined municipal Department of Public Works employees Friday for installation of three benches in Williamsport's Memorial Park, the culmination of a yearlong civic-improvement enterprise.

On April 23, 16 Pennsylvania College of Technology physical therapist assistant students – joined by Victoria Hurwitz, program director – partnered with Trailing Pines Tree Farm to plant 170 tree seedlings for conservation. The farm is a partner of the Keystone Ten Million Tree Partnership/Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

On the 52nd annual Earth Day, Pennsylvania College of Technology hailed a phenomenon only slightly younger: the Schneebeli Earth Science Center, home to memories, marvels and the makers of a million tomorrows. Observing the milestone golden anniversary of the Allenwood area campus on a beautiful spring afternoon, attendees reveled in "this special place" known as the ESC.

Chef Dean Yasharian '03 at Perle, the Pasadena, Calif., restaurant that he'd scheduled for opening the week the city's restaurants closed for the pandemic. Still, the 50-seat restaurant has gained acclaim, including a Michelin Plate and a place in the Los Angeles Times "101 Best Restaurants in L.A." list. WOGA's Zack T. Thompson is a picture of concentration at the club's event. Thompson, of Hustontown, is enrolled in software development and information management. Super Smash Bros. attracts former and current students, as well as alumni, all united in a common passion. Colorful dice reflect the variety of the gaming experience, whether online or on a tabletop.

Past and current members of the college's Student Government Association, formed in the mid-1960s as a communal cross-campus voice, held a joyful reunion Saturday evening in the Community Arts Center's Capitol Lounge.
