Penn State is exhibiting artwork created by a Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty member. Thirty drawings by David M. Moyer, assistant professor of graphic design, are on display in the Art Alley of Penn State’s HUB-Robeson Center galleries and display areas. A reception will be from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Gallery at Penn College filled with around 200 guests on Sunday, celebrating the opening reception of the Regional Juried Exhibition 2018. Forty of the 51 artists featured in the exhibit attended the reception, along with “an incredible outpouring of support from friends, family and art patrons,” according to Gallery Director Penny Griffin Lutz.

Pennsylvania College of Technology students vying for gold at the SkillsUSA National Championships is common. An all-female welding team representing the school at the prestigious competition is not. Thanks to three talented female welding and fabrication engineering technology students, it may be in the future. The trio aim to be trendsetters at the college and nationally.

Longtime Pennsylvania College of Technology partner Lycoming Engines has donated 15 aircraft engines to be used for instructional purposes in the college’s aviation majors. The donation, valued at $317,500, will benefit students enrolled in the aviation maintenance technology bachelor’s degree, the aviation technology associate degree and the aviation maintenance certificate major.
