Fisher has been instrumental in High Steel’s donation of over 400,000 pounds of scrap steel to the college’s welding program. He’s also championed the college by facilitating several tours of the Williamsport plant for various Penn College classes. Fisher is a member of the college’s President’s Leadership Council and the industry advisory committee for welding.
Prior to High Steel, Fisher worked at CNH Industrial in New Holland for six-plus years, advancing from welding engineer to manufacturing engineering manager. He began his career with a two-year stint as a welding engineer at John Deere Global Construction and Forestry in Dubuque, Iowa.
The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to those who have made significant contributions in their chosen fields, demonstrated the importance of their education at Penn College or its predecessors, participated in leadership roles within the community and demonstrated a commitment to their alma mater.
