The Gallery at Penn College whirs with activity during a visit from the James V. Brown Library’s Summer Learning program.
Nearly 40 people of all ages visited The Gallery at Penn College on July 10 as part of the James V. Brown Library’s Summer Learning program.
The program’s theme is “Color Our World,” and the library planned a visit to The Gallery’s aptly colorful “Five Artists” fiber arts exhibition.
After viewing the artwork in the exhibit, visitors met two of the artists – Meredith Eachus Armstrong and Cecilia Rusnak – and participated in hands-on learning activities.
The community is encouraged to view the exhibition before it closes on July 24. The Gallery at Penn College is free and open to the public.
A young visitor takes notes Jean Downing’s “Last Call.”
The Gallery provides kid-friendly activities as a guide to viewing the artwork.
The fiber artists’ work is fittingly colorful for the library’s “Color Our World” Summer Learning 2025 theme.
Visitors interact with artists Cecelia Rusnak and Meredith Eachus Armstrong (who holds up a work sample).
The Gallery exhibits examples of fiber art, including sewing, embroidery, weaving and quilting.
