The campus community and wider community are reminded of the inaugural Williamsport Main Street Torch Run, set for 5:30 to 7 p.m., Wednesday. Carrying the Special Olympics Flame of Hope, the run begins at Lycoming College and ends at Penn College with a pep rally at the Davie Jane Gilmour Center patio and parking lot, under the large American flag at Penn College's entrance.
The events will celebrate local Special Olympics athletes who are preparing for the 2025 Special Olympics Pennsylvania Summer Games, to be held in State College June 5-7.
