President Reed welcomes state policy committee

Penn College President Michael J. Reed was among those delivering welcoming remarks at Wednesday’s state Senate Majority Policy Committee hearing, held in the college’s Thompson Professional Development Center. The focus of the session was to review flood mitigation and stream maintenance strategies.
Also sharing opening comments were Sen. Dave Argall (R-29), committee chairman, and Sen. Gene Yaw (R-23), chair of Penn College’s Board of Directors.
Hearing participants included numerous state, county and township officials, representing environmental, recreational, agricultural, public safety and governmental interests.
