State House committee meets on campus

The Pennsylvania House Republican Policy Committee met on campus Thursday in the Thompson Professional Development Center. The committee was continuing its series of hearings, titled “Stopping New Energy Taxes,” aimed at analyzing energy policies and their impact on the commonwealth’s consumers and businesses.
In his welcoming remarks, Penn College President Michael J. Reed shared with the committee how the college’s graduates are helping industry thrive.
Among those testifying before the committee was state Sen. Gene Yaw (R-23), who chairs Penn College’s Board of Directors. State Reps. Jamie Flick (R-83), a college alumnus, and Clint Owlett (R-68), a member of the college’s board, joined committee Chairman David H. Rowe (R-85) and other lawmakers on the panel.

In the Thompson Professional Development Center, the committee continues its series of hearings, titled “Stopping New Energy Taxes."
