The annual Fall Robot Competition, hosted by Student Wildcats of Robotic Design, gets underway in Penn College's Field House.
Student Wildcats of Robotic Design hosted its annual Fall Robot Competition recently, with 'bots battlin' it out in Penn College's Field House.
Top finishers in the 3-pound beetleweight category:
• First – Leftovers
• Second – Boomba
• Third – Deep Stone Lullaby
Winners in the 1-pound antweight category:
• First – Low Ball
• Second – Taipon
• Third – The Minibot
“This event was fun, despite being a bit smaller than usual, due to being close to a couple other events,” said club president Carter R. Benninghoff, an engineering design technology student from Pittsburgh. “We had a few SWORD club 'bots competing in the 3-pound division this time but are hoping to get more in for the event next spring.”
