Pennsylvania College of Technology will share faculty expertise and its high-tech instructional facilities with regional Scouts BSA members during Merit Badge College, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 17.
Scouts can select from 20 merit badges and earn up to three during the event, offered in partnership with the Susquehanna Council, Boy Scouts of America. The council represents Scouts in Clinton, Lycoming, Northumberland, Snyder and Union counties.

Merit Badge College options for the Scouts include digital technology, programming, metalwork, search and rescue, electronics, landscape architecture, plumbing, and welding.
“We are proud to offer Scouts this valuable hands-on opportunity to experience a variety of disciplines,” said Bradley M. Webb, dean of engineering technologies and Merit Badge College coordinator. “They will certainly benefit by learning new skills – and earning merit badges – under the direction of dedicated faculty who have strong industry backgrounds.”
The registration fee is $50. To register, visit the Susquehanna Council, Boy Scouts of America. The registration deadline is Feb. 5.
