Dining Services employees Barbara E. Easton; Noelle B. Bloom, assistant director; and Vicki K. Killian, manager, prepare a table of salad and dressings for the year-end feast.

Spaghetti, meatballs, breadsticks and salad make up a hearty menu.

The free pasta meal served a threefold purpose: to provide relief for students whose meal plans might be running low as the semester winds down; to promote the services of The Cupboard to those who might need them; and to publicize opportunities for students to donate leftover meal-plan funds or nonperishables from their own kitchens as they head off campus.

Displayed is a sample of the provisions a student would receive from The Cupboard, with the intention to help them eat for a week. They would also receive a loaf of bread.

A touch of signature orange accents the Wildcat blue on the KDR courtyard patio.

Save room for dessert – cupcakes adorned with orange, the chosen color for hunger-awareness efforts.

The first 100 attendees at Tuesday's cookout received prize bags.

The patio fills with the succulent smells of outdoor grilling.

Food donations are hand-delivered by R. Colby Janowitz, a culinary arts and systems student from Westminster, Md.
