Meet Walt.

"I was looking for a hands-on education, but one that provided me with the opportunity to advance. Nothing teaches you at a more rapid pace than actually doing it. This experience is provided in all of the HVAC labs, especially when coupled with staff that has a ton of industry experience. I sprung for a bachelor's degree in HVAC Design because it afforded me the opportunity to work in the field and then progress into roles that offered more opportunity down the line."

Meet Ryan.

"I was definitely looking for a hands-on education. Like most of my friends, I enjoy taking things apart and seeing how to put them back together. I preferred classes in high school where I had the opportunity to work with my hands rather than sitting in class for lectures. Another factor that went into my decision to come to Penn College was location. Penn College is approximately two hours from my home and is an easy drive, so my family can visit and watch my lacrosse games. I have told many people that coming to this school was the best decision I ever made, and I stand by that statement."

Meet Elizabeth.

When she was a high school senior, nondestructive testing sounded like a fun, abstract concept to Elizabeth. Two years later, NDT is her rewarding reality. She secured a full-time position in the field, several weeks prior to graduation. She's working with Trident Maritime Systems’ custom alloy division in High Bridge, located about 20 minutes from her home in Milford, New Jersey. The global company specializes in fabrication, naval equipment production and precision engineering for maritime and defense projects.

Making the most of your Penn College experience

"Parents should strongly consider the value of their student learning a trade, especially if their child wants to go to college but is unsure of a career path. Penn College offers a wide array of fields of study. A student has so many options to earn certificates and can easily turn an associate degree into a bachelor's degree. We also recommend joining parent social groups to learn from other families' experiences regarding off-campus housing, extracurricular activities, and much more."

Meet Jubeen.

"I chose Penn College because I was looking for hands-on education. I don't want to sit in a big lecture hall and listen to a professor teach. I want to actually do something and learn new skills."
