    Radiography Clinical Experiences

    The clinical day is between 8 and 10 hours long (with a ½ hour lunch), and is scheduled between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. during most rotations, with off-shift and weekend rotations as described below. Below is an outline of clinical expectations for all radiography students. Per JRCERT Accreditation, students may only complete clinical requirements at approved clinical affiliations of the program.

    Radiography Clinical Rotations

    Students rotate to all three major affiliate clinical sites for a period of two (2) sequential semesters. All students will be assigned to an off-site hospital rotation and an ortho/physician rotation for the entire two years in the program. Students are responsible for their transportation to clinical sites. Students will have the opportunity to rank their choices of minor hospitals after selection into the clinical portion of the radiography program. The program cannot guarantee the first choice.

    Off-site rotations to the minor hospitals:

    • Fall and Spring semesters – 2 weeks’ worth of clinic
    • Summer semesters – 1 full week of clinic 

    Off-site rotations to the ortho/physician sites:

    • Fall and Spring semesters – 2 weeks’ worth of clinic
    • Summer semesters – 1 full week of clinic
