Take an Experiential Tour of European Cuisines!

Do you love to cook or bake? Dream of owning your own restaurant or becoming a famous chef? Join chefs from our hospitality department for an introduction to baking and pastry arts, culinary arts, and hospitality management. Experience field trips and hands-on workshops centered on developing kitchen skills, culinary/baking skills, menu planning, an etiquette workshop, and more!

Get whisked away through your senses. Explore authentic flavors and old-world cuisine. Unite techniques and flavors to create a tastefully memorable experience. The Future Restaurateurs program allows participants to flex their culinary creativity as they take a tour through European cuisines. At the conclusion of the program, parents are invited to come for a European themed dinner and taste the delicious foods they’ve created using the skills learned during the week.

Future Restaurateurs Workshops

Participants will be involved in workshops designed to build upon each other.

Skill Development

Basic knife skills, rules of kitchen safety and sanitation, as well as the inner-workings of classical and modern kitchens will be discussed.

Hospitality Management

Participants will focus on menu costing and planning, dining room set-up and operation, effective customer service skills, and proper dining etiquette.

Baking & Pastry Arts

Do you have what it takes to be a pastry chef? Explore the properties and types of breads and doughs. Bake your own pizza. Decorate pastries and learn confectionary and sugar skills. Test your hand at various pastry and dessert skills.

Culinary Arts

Participants will learn and practice culinary skills, food preparation and production, and service techniques. Then, they will put their skills to the test on Thursday evening as they prepare a European-cuisine themed dinner finale. Families of participants are invited to share in the fun too!
