“The Road to Baja SAE Williamsport – Extended Director’s Cut,” a Pennsylvania College of Technology video that chronicles the school’s journey for Baja SAE Williamsport, has won a silver Telly Award in the 46th international competition that honors excellence in video and television across all screens.

On the threshold of their graduation from Pennsylvania College of Technology, 18 architecture & sustainable design seniors showcased their four years of intensive study in “Architecture & Sustainable Design: Senior Capstone Projects.” Well-wishers and interested onlookers packed The Gallery at Penn College on May 16 for the exhibit’s reception and heard from the designers and their faculty mentors.

Among the many end-of-academic-year events held at Pennsylvania College of Technology, induction ceremonies were conducted by the chapters of two honor societies – Phi Theta Kappa and Alpha Chi. A total of 118 new honor society members were recognized.

The campus community and wider community are reminded of the inaugural Williamsport Main Street Torch Run, set for 5:30 to 7 p.m., Wednesday. Carrying the Special Olympics Flame of Hope, the run begins at Lycoming College and ends at Penn College with a pep rally at the Davie Jane Gilmour Center patio and parking lot, under the large American flag at Penn College's entrance.

The Community Arts Center is the recipient of a generous $3,000 donation from Truist, through the Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit program. The funding will support the CAC’s approved educational programs, which include the Student Summer Stock, Educational Series and The Nutcracker production.

For the first time since 2018, the Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team has an All-American. Casey Keiter of Dornsife became the 44th Wildcat to earn that distinction as the USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals wrapped up Saturday at Lansing, Michigan, as a result of his top 10 indoor (9.867) and outdoor (9.208) national scores (19.075 total) in the men’s fixed pins discipline.

Downtown Williamsport and the Pennsylvania College of Technology campus were teeming with joyful graduates and guests, as the college held its three Spring 2025 commencement ceremonies May 16-17 at the Community Arts Center. Nearly 750 students marched in the ceremonies, with approximately 885 having petitioned to graduate. Pennsylvania College of Technology presented Clifford H. “Pep” Martin Jr., of Dade City, Florida, with the Distinguished Alumni Award at its Spring Commencement ceremonies, held May 16-17 at the Community Arts Center. A Williamsport native, Martin is a 1972 automotive technology graduate of Williamsport Area Community College, Penn College’s immediate predecessor institution.

Two Army ROTC cadets at Pennsylvania College of Technology marked a milestone two days before receiving their baccalaureate degrees. MacKenzie L. Collins, of Pitman, New Jersey, and Michael J. Giordano, of Palmyra, were commissioned as second lieutenants and assigned to their Army component and branch.
