Pennsylvania College of Technology's Technology Transfer Center will offer a special four-hour Hatha Yoga Asana Workshop on Saturday, Nov. 2, taught by two certified yoga instructors. The session will be held from 8 a.m. to noon in the Mountain Laurel Room of the Thompson Professional Development Center on the main campus of Penn College.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's "Art on Campus" initiative has acquired four additional paintings from area artists. The pieces were purchased during the Bald Eagle Art League Show and Competition, which was held on the College's main campus in June. The show is part of the Susquehanna Valley Festival of the Arts.

Fall 2002 enrollment at Pennsylvania College of Technology has established two all-time records for the largest increase ever and the highest total enrollment at the institution, a special-mission affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University in Williamsport.

Matthew L. Byers, Pennsylvania College of Technology's Fall 2001 Study Abroad student to Denmark, will offer a taste of Danish life when he presents a lunchtime PowerPoint program on his trip at the College Library on Wednesday, Oct. 9. The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at noon. The program is being sponsored by the library and the College's International Studies Office.

"Charles Springer: Recent Works" will be the exhibition offered from Oct. 15 to Nov. 8 at The Gallery at Penn College on the campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology. The opening reception for the show will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15. An artist's talk is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. on that day. Subsequent viewing hours for the exhibition will be from 2 to 6 p.m.

The Caterpillar Excellence Fund a partnership among the Caterpillar Foundation, participating dealers and schools has benefited Pennsylvania College of Technology once again with contributions totaling $127,000 for the College's Diesel Equipment Technology programs.

Paul W. Howe, a faculty member in the School of Business and Computer Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will speak at the Diving Equipment and Marketing Association's national convention in Las Vegas on Oct. 21.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has risen to the second tier in the rankings of Comprehensive Colleges-Bachelor's (North) in the 2003 edition of "America's Best Colleges," published by U.S. News & World Report. The real-life heroine of "Riding in Cars With Boys," a cult-classic novel that spawned a 2001 Drew Barrymore film, will discuss her life, faith and "never letting go of her dreams" when she appears at Pennsylvania College of Technology's Klump Academic Center Auditorium at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24.
