The Gallery at Penn College on the main campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology will host the works of artist Leonard Ragouzeos from Aug. 24 to Sept. 17. Ragouzeos' work with India ink will be part of the show, "In Black and White." He is a professor in the art department at Millersville University where, since 1980, he has taught graphic design, basic design, calligraphy and typography.
To control rising printing costs and ensure all students have fair access to campus printing resources, Pennsylvania College of Technology is implementing a student printing quota for Fall 2004. Over the past several years, Information Technology Services has seen an alarming increase in the volume of printing and associated costs.
Full-time Penn College staff members will be given the opportunity to gain more in-depth training in Excel and Word and, if desired, attain MOS certification under a professional-development program announced by Workforce Development& Continuing Education. This is a 12-week session offered during the Fall 2004 semester starting Aug. 31. Each class of Word and Excel will meet one hour weekly.

All faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the Penn College "Grand Welcome" at 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, on the ATHS Mall. Remarks will be given by James Riedel, 2004-05 Student Government Association president; Chet Schuman, director of admissions; and Dr. Davie Jane Gilmour, Penn College president. The short welcome will culminate with the annual fireworks display.

Twelve students enrolled for the Fall 2004 semester at Pennsylvania College of Technology have been honored as "Presidential Scholars" for academic excellence and service to their schools and communities. In addition, two adults who are returning to the classroom have been selected as "Penn College Scholars" for their achievements.
