As October brought chilly warnings of the winter to come, as temperatures dropped and the wind blew and a Muncy resident's boiler sputtered toward its end, a group of Pennsylvania College of Technology students and a faculty member volunteered in the timely installation of a heating system for the area senior citizen.
"Happy Holidays" from Penn College, where the hands, hearts and soaring imaginations of students and employees fashioned 43 greeting cards on display outside the Breuder Advanced Technology and Health Sciences Center. The cards both traditional and lighthearted, many of them bursting with three-dimensional whimsy were lighted in a brief ceremony Wednesday night, when winners were announced.
Regis C. Kohler, associate professor of radiography at Pennsylvania College of Technology, was recently asked to review a radiography textbook. Kohler reviewed "Textbook of Radiographic Positioning and Related Anatomy, 7th Edition," written by Kenneth L. Bontrager and John Lampignano and published by Mosby.
Pennsylvania College of Technology will hold a commencement ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 19, for the more than 350 students who have petitioned to graduate following the Fall 2009 semester. Nearly 100 people attended a recent Inspection Authorization renewal seminar at Penn College's Lumley Aviation Center. Aviation maintenance technicians with an Airframe and Powerplant certificate and at least two years' experience can receive inspection authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration.
