Pennsylvania College of Technology winter sports teams had a slow week to start the new year. The women’s basketball team went 1-1 with one game canceled, the men’s basketball team went 0-1 with one cancellation and one postponement, and the wrestling team withdrew from its scheduled competition in the Budd Whitehill Duals at Lycoming College.

After their holiday break, Pennsylvania College of Technology winter sports teams are set to get back into action as the men’s and women’s basketball squads return to the hardcourt with games Sunday and Monday, respectively, and the wrestlers will be back on the mats Friday and Saturday (Jan. 7-8) in the Budd Whitehill Duals at Lycoming College.

On Monday at Lycoming College in the Rennie Roadarmel Allstate Duals, the Wildcats went 2-2 with wins over King’s College, 25-19, and New Jersey City University, 29-22, and losses to SUNY Cortland, 30-6, and the host team, 27-17, as their record went to 2-3. Even the loss to Lycoming was a bright spot as it marked the first points they ever have scored in a match against the Warriors.
