Good, with the potential to get better. That's how Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball coach Mike Stanzione looks at his program. Through nine seasons under Stanzione, the Wildcats have compiled an impressive 189-98 record, including 12 straight playoff appearances and four conference championships during the fall and spring seasons, by being mostly offense-oriented.

WANTED: Women volleyball players. Immediately! That plea was being issued at the 11th hour by Pennsylvania College of Technology's second-year coach Bambi Hawkins as her squad prepared for its Sept. 10 season opener at Penn State-Wilkes-Barre in a three-team Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference outing that includes Luzerne County Community College.

"Anything Goes," an exhibition featuring fine-art quilts by the High Fiber Art Quilters, will be presented Sept. 12-29 at Pennsylvania College of Technology's 202 Gallery. For the first time in the four-year history of its archery program, Pennsylvania College of Technology will be the site of the National Archery Association's 2000 U.S. Intercollegiate Championships from May 17-20. The 23-team field, sporting 146 archers, will arrive Tuesday, May 16, with individual competition beginning Thursday, May 18.

Pennsylvania College of Technology will conduct four weeks of Summer Sports Camps, beginning the week of June 15-19. The camps are aimed at improving the skills of young athletes and increasing their love of the game. Also featured will be an adult tennis camp. On tap are a Boys' Basketball Skills Camp for grades three to eight and a Youth Tennis Camp for grades six to 12 the week of June 15-19.
