Pennsylvania College of Technology held its Summer Commencement ceremony Saturday morning at the Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport. Kaitlin M. Savidge, of Northumberland, who received an Associate of Applied Science degree in emergency medical services, was the student speaker for the 11 a.m. event.

Soaring off the screen and onto the Community Arts Center stage, the 2014-15 season will bring many of the freshest, funniest and most beloved small-screen personalities and shows to your favorite area theater, such as Voiceplay (Oct. 17), Mythbusters (Nov. 21), Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (Dec. 3), Sid the Science Kid (Feb. 3), Sister Act (Feb. 19) and many others.

A $1,000 grant has been awarded to Pennsylvania College of Technology to enhance students' sexual-health awareness during the 2014-15 academic year. As one of 20 institutions to receive funding from the Female Health Co., Penn College will use the money for an information campaign about the company's FC2 female condom, including supplies and educational materials.
