Students in a Catering course at Pennsylvania College of Technology will offer cooking demonstrations – and free samples – at the Williamsport Growers Market’s annual “Customer Appreciation Day” on Sept. 19. The students will prepare a variety of recipes using fresh, local ingredients donated by the market’s vendors. They’ll serve samples beginning at 8 a.m.

Twenty-eight students are serving as Presidential Student Ambassadors for the 2015-16 academic year at Pennsylvania College of Technology, marking the 20th year student ambassadors have been spreading good will on campus. The student ambassadors promote Penn College to prospective and current students and their families, guests, alumni, business partners and friends of the college.

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association was recently honored by its parent organization. The American Dental Hygienists’ Association presented the Penn College group with its Graduate Transition Award. The award recognizes student member chapters having a graduate conversion rate to ADHA membership of 90 percent or greater.
