Lancaster-based High Companies has donated $15,000 to Pennsylvania College of Technology to benefit a program enabling high school students to take courses for college credit at no cost to themselves or their families.

“A Week With Waffles,” an interactive chronicle of a guinea pig’s delightful day-to-day adventures, received two honors in the Reader Views 2022-23 Literary Awards competition. The book, authored by Pennsylvania College of Technology writer/video producer Tom Speicher and illustrated by Argentinian artist Marina Saumell, is a Gold Medal winner in the preschool/toddler category and was selected for the Best Children’s Picture Book Award.

The Gene Haas Foundation has awarded a $1 million grant to Pennsylvania College of Technology to facilitate renovations and upgrades to the college’s 12,200-square-foot automated manufacturing lab, which will be known as the Gene Haas Center for Innovative Manufacturing.
