Daniel J. Doyle Proposals will be accepted until May 4 from faculty, staff and retirees interested in being considered as presenters for the Daniel J. Doyle Technology & Society Colloquia Series, opening in the Fall 2015 semester. Following the success of last year's Centennial Colloquia, President Davie Jane Gilmour announced that the ongoing series would be dedicated in honor of Daniel J.

Walter V. Gower has begun duties as assistant dean in the School of Transportation & Natural Resources Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology. A 25-year faculty member, Gower most recently was assistant professor of aviation at the college's Lumley Aviation Center in Montoursville.

"Props for Profs" A fundraising initiative launched on the Penn College Alumni Relations Facebook page encourages all segments of the campus community to make a gift – to give "props" – on behalf of a faculty or staff member who has influenced their lives.

The final activities of Penn College's illustrious Centennial observance – the filling, sealing and installation of an institutional snapshot from that 2014 celebration – took place this week in a first-floor corner of Madigan Library. Various historical and commemorative items were loaded into the time capsule on Thursday, and the contents were sealed with argon gas the following day.

"Working Class" An ambitious documentary produced by Pennsylvania College of Technology and WVIA Public Media has received a national honor. “Working Class: 100 Years of Hands-On Education” recently garnered a bronze Telly Award for outstanding achievement in the documentary category of the 36th annual competition.

Brian D. Walton, Pennsylvania College of Technology’s assistant dean of business and hospitality, was named Ashford University’s “Outstanding Alum of the Month” for April. Walton, a native of Downingtown, earned a master’s degree in organizational management from the university in 2011. Brian D.

John J. Messer A campus memorial service for John J. Messer, an assistant professor of web and interactive media who died Jan. 5 at age 49, will be held from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, in the Mountain Laurel Room of the Thompson Professional Development Center.
