The rain ceased and the smiles poured forth Sunday as the campus community flung wide its doors to potential students, their families and friends at Fall Open House. Sunrise spectacle Wednesday's fiery sunrise provided a seasonal reminder that not all of fall's color is in the foliage; the vivid sky show caught the eye of many on campus and during the morning commute – including President Davie Jane Gilmour, who savored the moment in this cell-phone photo from her office window.

The family of a retired Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty member who died earlier this year has established a scholarship fund in his memory. The Dr. William B. Urosevich Memorial Scholarship will benefit students who are enrolled full time in the physician assistant major, have provided service to their country and have demonstrated a generous and selfless attitude.
