The Community Arts Center Board of Governors has honored Pennsylvania College of Technology Senior Vice President Dr. William J. Martin with a "Vision Award" for his efforts in the renovation of the Arts Center and his ongoing support of the facility.
The Master Teacher Award, the highest level of recognition accorded to a Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty member, was presented today to Dale A. Metzker, an associate professor of printing and publishing who is retiring after a 39-year career with Penn College and its two predecessor institutions.
Pennsylvania College of Technology recently presented "Distinguished Staff" and "Part-Time Teaching Excellence" awards, while also honoring retirees and the newest members of the College's "Quarter-Century Club." The honors were bestowed May 16 at an Employee Recognition Week Reception held at Penn's Inn in the Bush Campus Center.

Dr. Reza Kamali, associate professor of computer science in the School of Business and Computer Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been elected as an officer and vice chair for education for the newly formed Society for Information Technology Education. Kamali, a resident of Montoursville, received the honor at a SITE conference in Savannah, Ga., on April 11-13.
Dr. Gerald "Chip" Baumgardner, associate professor of business administration in the School of Business and Computer Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology, received an exclusive Award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Technology at the 13th International Conference on College Teaching and Learning.
A faculty member in the School of Business and Computer Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology will be the featured speaker at Air Jamaica's World of Travel 2002 Caribbean Conference, to be held May 30 to June 1 in Jamaica. Paul W.
Annette Kilgus, Pennsylvania College of Technology's December 2001 commencement speaker, has been designated as one of the presenters who will share their success stories in Harrisburg on April 15 for the Pennsylvania Leadership Day event being sponsored by the Pennsylvania Women Work! organization.
Pennsylvania College of Technology's two television series have been honored with national awards. The College's public affairs series, "Penn College & You," recently received a bronze Telly Award for Information Programming, while its public television cooking series, "You're the Chef," earned a Silver Paragon Award from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations.
