Distinguished Teaching Awards – including the Veronica M. Muzic Master Teacher Award, the highest level of recognition for faculty – were presented by Pennsylvania College of Technology during commencement ceremonies held May 14-15 at the Community Arts Center, Williamsport. Dennis F. Ringling, professor of forestry in the School of Natural Resources Management, was honored with the Veronica M.

Pennsylvania College of Technology presented Distinguished Staff and Part-Time Teaching Excellence Awards on Thursday. The college also recognized new members of its Quarter-Century Club (for 25 years of service) and those retiring in the 2009-10 academic year.

It is fitting that we end each academic year by honoring students, faculty and staff who have distinguished themselves through their accomplishments.

A member of Pennsylvania College of Technology's horticulture faculty recently reviewed a textbook in advance of an updated edition. Carl J. Bower Jr., instructor at the college's Schneebeli Earth Science Center, reviewed the current edition of "Landscape Plants: Their Identification, Culture and Use" by Ferrell Bridwell.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's landscaping major has been reaccredited by the Professional Landcare Network, which represents thousands of green-industry employees nationwide.
