David L. Evans, professor of biology (anatomy and physiology) at Pennsylvania College of Technology, served as a peer reviewer for the National Center for Case Study Teaching in Science in 2013. Bruce A. Emig, a Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty member who died in May 2013 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, has been memorialized by a scholarship at the college. Emig’s wife, Cindy, endowed the scholarship in his memory. Emig was an assistant professor of HVAC technology who had been employed at Penn College since 1989.

An article by a Pennsylvania College of Technology admissions representative, outlining creative funding for late-night student events, has been published in the January/February issue of Campus Activities Programming Magazine. Mark R.

In 2012-13, Penn College and the Penn College Foundation received in-kind donations of equipment, technology, materials and supplies from business and industry for instructional purposes valued at $651,527 and cash donations totaling $969,708, for a total of $1,621,235. Donors included 758 alumni and 450 employees, who together contributed $381,582.
