A marathon runner, who turned unimaginable debilitation into enduring determination, will bring her inspiring story to a Pennsylvania College of Technology audience on Sept. 22. Monday’s presentation by Janet Oberholtzer, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 7 p.m. in the Klump Academic Center Auditorium on the college’s main campus in Williamsport.

Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty member Lisa R. Bock will present a lecture that explores the technology of identity protection and its ramifications on Sept. 16 as part of the college’s Centennial Colloquia Series. Rapid technological advances since the Internet became public have opened many opportunities, but with them come threats to our identities, safety and financial resources.

Art created from reclaimed denim is in the spotlight at the next exhibit at The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Madigan Library. “Those of Us Still Living” will run Sept. 2 through Oct. 1. A Meet the Artist Reception is set for 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, featuring a gallery talk at 5:30 p.m.
