Billie A. Coffman, associate professor of early childhood education at Pennsylvania College of Technology, was selected by Family Communications Inc., the producers of "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood," to be a trainer in Pennsylvania for teachers, child-care providers and parents who work with children with challenging behaviors.

Navigatingthe twisting path from daydream to "dream career" is the subject for the March edition of the award-winning "Penn College & You" television series, which offers this advice: In determining what to be when you "grow up," you can't start soon enough. "We really should start with career development in kindergarten and go all the way through," says Dr. Jeannette L.

Three students from Saudi Arabia who will enter the Paramedic program at Penn College arrived on campus Thursday, and, on Tuesday, observed classes. The students are being trained here through funding from Houston-based Aramco Services Co. ASC is a wholly owned affiliate of Saudi Arabian Oil Co.

The Gallery at Penn College on the main campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology will host "Realism With a Surreal Edge," a collection of paintings by Babette Martino, from Feb. 22 to March 25. An opening reception will take place Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 3:30 to 6 p.m., with an artist's talk scheduled at 4 p.m. Both the opening and the talk are free and open to the public.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus near Wellsboro will offer a variety of introductory-level computer courses beginning in March. The courses are taught by highly skilled instructors at a comfortable pace for all levels of adult learners. The small, noncredit classes are held from 6 to 9 p.m.

Lycoming Engines recently donated $40,000 worth of materials to be used by students in the School of Industrial and Engineering Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The donated materials include machining bar stock, castings and forgings.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has been chosen as the "Company of the Month" by the Williamsport Area Management Association, which also honored one of the College?s professors at its February meeting. Dr. Irwin H.

The Dental Hygiene program at Pennsylvania College of Technology has been reaccredited for the next seven years by the American Dental Association, Commission on Dental Accreditation. The Dental Hygiene program was first accredited in 1977 and has had approved status since that time.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has been honored with two Bronze Awards in the 26th annual Telly Awards competition for an episode of its public-affairs television series, "Penn College & You," and a marketing DVD it sends to prospective students.
