The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Madigan Library, will host the Timothy Hawkesworth exhibit "Paintings and Drawings" from Feb. 27 to April 1. A reception for the exhibit will take place from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, with an artist's talk at 5:30.
Schramm Inc. brought a state-of-the-art mobile drilling rig to Penn College on Tuesday. The model T130XD rig was at the Earth Science Center in the morning and, later,attracted quite a crowd outside College Avenue Labs. Schramm Inc., based in West Chester, manufactures Rotadrill truck, trailer, and track-mounted mobile drilling rigs for a wide range of applications in the drilling industry.
Penn College's observance of Black History Month continued Monday night in Penn's Inn, where Maxine Maxwell channeled "Echoes of the Past" in a performance sponsored by the Student Activities Office.
A Montour County native is among chefs from the award-winning Charleston, S.C., restaurants Magnolias Uptown Down South and Cypress Lowcountry Grille who will visit Pennsylvania College of Technology in March to work with students to produce an elegant "Visiting Chef Dinner" that raises money for scholarships.

Penn College employs a number of persons who are hypersensitive to perfumes, colognes and similar aromatics. No doubt there are students attending the college who suffer from the same problem. Small amounts, even from a distance, can cause genuine distress for the respiratory systems of those who suffer from that condition.
The Penn College Police are investigating several burglaries that have occurred at Rose Street Apartments over the past three weeks. Several apartments in the Lancaster building were entered ,and personal items were stolen . These items include game stations, laptop computers and cash. Some of these burglaries occurred whilethe residentswere in the ir apartment s sleeping.
