First-year students began their Penn College journeys Aug. 12 when, with a little help from family, resident assistants and campus volunteers, on-campus residents moved into their new homes-away-from home in Rose Street Commons. Following check-in and move-in, Wednesday night’s New-Student Convocation celebrated the new tomorrow makers’ arrival with a bonfire, band and welcome from President Michael J. Reed on the Madigan Library lawn.
