Career Services offers transportation to Penn State Career Day

Monday, August 17, 2026

As a special mission affiliate of Penn State, Pennsylvania College of Technology provides its students with the opportunity to attend Penn State’s Career Days. This year, they won’t need to worry about transportation.

“Wildcats on Wheels” will provide safe, reliable transportation for Penn College students to engage with employers outside Penn College’s internal recruitment events.

A fee of $25 will be utilized to hold a spot on the bus. The initiative aims to provide students with career-readiness preparation and transportation through Susquehanna Trailways, allowing them to network with new employers. Once attendance has been confirmed, each attendee will receive a $20 cash reimbursement.

“We’re thrilled to provide this endeavor for our students,” said Sarah F. Marino, career coach. "Industry engagement and comprehensive career readiness are vital tenets of Career Services’ goals to provide successful and enriching professional development experiences for our dynamic student body. We aspire to continue this experiential learning opportunity long-term with hopes to travel to different locations across Pennsylvania in the future.”

The inaugural “Wildcats on Wheels” bus will depart at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 17 from Penn College, dropping students at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College and returning to campus at 4 p.m. Seats will be secured on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration opens at 8 a.m. Aug. 24 and will remain open until Sept. 11.

Interest meetings will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Aug. 19 (virtual; email Marino to express interest) and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 20 (in person; Campus Center, Room 207). Students who attend one of the sessions will be provided with early access to registration and could win a free round-trip seat on the bus.

Penn College will hold its Fall Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 6 and 7 in Bardo Gym and the Field House.
