Several students earn awards for graphic design work

Eleven graphic design students from Pennsylvania College of Technology have received awards across three competitions.

American Advertising Awards Northeast Pennsylvania
The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 40,000 entries each year across the nation. The awards aim to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.

•    Elias D. McFadden ’27, of Alexandria, Student Gold Award: “Night Shift Donuts App” 
•    Hanna N. Steppe ’25, of Cogan Station, Student Silver Award: “Unbound: Anti-Censorship Campaign” 
•    Justin C. Miller ’27, of Lewisburg, Student Silver Award: “Online Annual Report”
•    Emily M. Scaife ’26, of Williamsport, Honorable Mentions: “Beef Jerky Co. Branding & Packaging” and “Science Magazine Cover & Feature”
•    Jo P. Hess ’25, of Jersey Shore, Honorable Mention: “Minor League Baseball Team Rebrand” 
•    Maggie E. Gelnett ’27, of Williamsport, Honorable Mention: “Impact Report Website” 
•    Hunter A. Rossman ’25, of Rebersburg, Honorable Mention: “Creativity Poster Series” 
•    Kelly A. Herb ’26, of Marysville, Honorable Mention: “Magazine Cover & Feature Design” 
•    Emma J. Bower ’26, of Montoursville, Honorable Mention: “Book Jacket Series” 
•    Riley J. Shipman ’26, of Harrisburg, Honorable Mention: “Death Valley Beef Jerky Packaging” 
•    Hailey P. Stroble ’26, of Thomasville, Honorable Mention: “Craft Beer Packaging”

Flux: AIGA Baltimore
Flux is a nationwide student design competition presented annually by AIGA Baltimore. Established in 2007 by the former AIGA Blue Ridge chapter, Flux celebrates the best creative work produced each year by undergraduate and graduate students from across the country. Entries are selected by a jury of leading design professionals.

•    Rossman, Certificate of Merit: “Fearsome Critter Beer Packaging”

Locally Sourced: AIGA Philadelphia
Locally Sourced is an annual publication and exhibition dedicated to recognizing emerging designers, artists and creative thinkers. This year’s competition features award-winning work selected from more than 400 student submissions. The following students had their work included in the fourth edition of the publication.
