WNEP-TV reporter Mackenzie Aucker joined about 350 middle schoolers on campus Wednesday for STEMFest, an initiative that introduces students to career possibilities rooted in science, technology, engineering and math.
The sixth through eighth graders participated in hands-on sessions ranging from concrete science to electronics, and robotics to nondestructive testing. Aucker attended some of the workshops, where she interviewed Courtney E. Dunne, manager of academic engagement & experience for the School of Engineering Technologies; Michael J. Nau, welding instructor; and Abigail Koshy, a seventh grader at Saint John Neumann Regional Academy.
