Penn College collision repair students receive scholarships

A national organization dedicated to women in the collision repair industry has honored three Pennsylvania College of Technology students with scholarships.

Isabella L. Malloy, of Carlisle; Jocelyn N. Pandolfo, of Clark, New Jersey; and Addison M. Zick, of Norristown, were three of 39 aspiring collision repairers in North America to receive a scholarship from the Women’s Industry Network. Founded in 2006, WIN is a networking and education hub that promotes leadership and sustainable growth for women in collision repair.

All three students are seeking an associate degree in collision repair technology. Zick is also majoring in automotive technology management and automotive restoration.  Pandolfo is seeking the certificate in automotive restoration as well. As scholarship winners, they received shop tools, WIN merchandise, a WIN Conference virtual pass and eligibility to participate in WIN’s mentoring program, which allows students to share best practices with peers and industry professionals.

Malloy and Zick also each received $2,500 with their awards.

“We’re very proud of Isabella, Jocelyn and Addison for being recognized by WIN. All three serve as role models to other students with their dedication to collision repair, both in the classroom and the lab,” said Ali L. Lorson, assistant dean of transportation technologies. “They personify the fact that collision repair can be an extremely rewarding career pathway for women.”
