Last week in review: Four Pennsylvania College of Technology wrestlers reached the podium in an invitational, and the basketball teams split in their games, each winning once and falling once.
On the horizon: The athletics department will host its eighth Girls and Women in Sports Day Clinic from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, at Bardo Gymnasium on West Third Street. The registration deadline is Friday, Feb. 6. During the free clinic for girls in grads K-6, student-athletes from basketball, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball will instruct participants on the basics of their respective sport. Each participant will have the opportunity to participate in all five sports. WRESTLING
Last week’s highlights: Kaden Ware, of Brooklyn, Connecticut, posted a 4-0 day to claim the 141-pound championship. Nic Brotzman, of Marietta, went 2-1 on the day for his runner-up finish at 285. Brett Patton, of West Chester, was 3-2 in his matches and earned a fourth-place at 157, and Gavin Gomes, of Denville, New Jersey, finished 4-2 to take fifth at 174. Penn College placed seventh in a nine-team field at the Elizabethtown D. Kenneth Ober Memorial Invitational on Saturday.

Last week’s highlights: In Wednesday’s UEC loss at Lancaster Bible College, Peyton Murphy, of Gallipolis, Ohio, led the team with 10 points.
At home on Friday against St. Mary’s (Md.) College, Cydae Joseph-Davis, of Hellertown, scored 17 points in 19 minutes of playing time, while Owen Newcomer, of Newell, tallied 11 and Murphy 10 in a victory.

Last week’s highlights: Gigi Parlante, of Williamsport, scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in Wednesday’s UEC win at Lancaster Bible College. Also, Kayla Herzer, of Brick, New Jersey, scored 12 points, and Mia Patterson, of Loyalsock Township, tallied 11.
Hosting conference unbeaten St. Mary’s (Md.) College on Friday, RaeAnna Andreas, of Berwick, came off the bench to score 15 points, and Patterson recorded a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds in a loss.
