Memorial service is Thursday for emeritus faculty member

Paul S. Schriner, a 1963 alumnus who went on to retire from the college as an associate professor of welding in 2001, died on Nov. 28. He was 86 years old.
Schriner taught at the college for more than 30 years. He was granted emeritus faculty status in 2003 and remained involved in campus activities, attending Williamsport Technical Institute reunions, retiree gatherings and other events. (WTI is a forerunner of Penn College.)
A funeral service is scheduled at noon Thursday, Dec. 4, at Mill Creek Church, 2255 Warrensville Road, Montoursville. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.

At the 2019 Williamsport Technical Institute reunion, Schriner accepts a veterans honor cord from Chet Beaver, assistant director of student advocacy for veteran and military resources.
